My name is Robert J. Barnaby, though most of you know me simply as Bob. I am proud to be running for Spencer Township Trustee this November.
I’ve been here for 28 years. My wife and I made the decision to build our home here in 1997, where we raised our three wonderful children. They are not only successful in their own right but also contribute to the community through our family-owned and operated businesses that provide more than 15 local jobs right here in Spencer. Our companies represent a legacy of hard work, community investment, and long-term commitment to this township.
I served on the Spencer Fire Department for over 18 years, including 10 years in a leadership role as Captain and contributed 15+ years as a member of the Spencer Township Board of Zoning Appeals.
Through these experiences, I’ve gained a deep understanding of our community’s needs, challenges, and opportunities. I’ve learned the importance of listening first, acting fairly, and leading with transparency, honesty, and respect. I am committed to bringing these same principles to the role of Township Trustee.
If elected, I will bring a “Spencer First” approach to every decision I make, putting the interests of our residents and the future of our township at the forefront rather than development and large industrial projects. My priorities will focus on:
